Abstract
:
In this paper, a control strategy for tension in winding section of an Aluminum rod-wire-rolling machine is presented. A gap between a practical control system and a simulated one using different simulation tools makes the industrial control system difficult to be controlled. Particularly, if the system is non-linear. Herein, a black box identification approach based on Least Squares Method (LSM) is developed in order to estimate a nominal linear model around the operating point. The proposed control strategy is implemented with conventional PID controller for tension using a programmable logic controller, the simulated and the practical results are presented and discussed which prove that the implemented control strategy is satisfactory for industrial objectives.
